Sumptuous quality AAA grade white freshwater pearls hand wrapped in solid 24k gold vermeil and presented on 24k heavy-plated sterling silver ear wires with sycamore leaf design. We constructed these earrings to epitomise both the tragedy and the virtue of Shakespeare's heroine Desdemona:'The poor soul sat sighing by a sycamore tree, /Sing all a green willow'. The pearls, of course, symbolise her purity and the ear wires, her tragedy.
We can guarantee these ear wires are sterling silver heavy plated with a very thick (40-mil) layer of genuine 24k gold - a far more substantial layer than traditional gold-plating.
