Bespoke Jewellery POA Gem Set Ring

Have your ring your way - we are able to make gemstone rings like the one pictured in any size and using any stone with a suitable hardness for this type of setting (Mohs hardness 7+). Ideal stones for this setting would be alexandrite, topaz, sapphire, ruby and diamond. Tourmaline, amethyst and other types of quartz should also be suitable. Emeralds, opals and other soft stones, however, are not.

This technique is suitable for stones sized between 0.5mm & 2.5mm. We can set the stone centrally (as in the London blue topaz ring pictured), off to one side, or wherever else you would like it set. We can, of course, also set a combination of different stones and arrange them in a 'constellation effect'. It will be your ring, so have it your way.

The only real restrictions are the following: the technique we use for setting stones requires us to have a flat profile band to work with (as pictured). We also prefer to drill completely through the band (which will actually allow us to clean the ring in an ultrasonic cleaner afterwards and make sure the stone is properly set).

POA - price will depend on a number of factors: what type/size and quantity of gemstone(s) you want, band thickness and size and whether you are happy for us to buy in a semi-finished and pre-hallmarked ring shank to set the gemstone onto (much cheaper), or whether you want it made completely from scratch. Unusual small and large sizes may require the ring to be completely handmade, but more common sizes (L - O) can normally be sourced from suppliers. All gems will be handset in our own studio.
