This necklace is handmade from a stunning 18mm natural Andamooka (Australian)boulder opal weighing in at a hefty 34 carats. The matrix is sandy brown and the veins of colour are a lovely duck egg blue. This Andamooka boulder opal has a particularly lovely flash of colour with great depth and sparkles of darker blue and green - it is a more valuable 'sister' opal to the one used in our Silver Andamooka Opal Necklace - available at a fraction of the cost.

The opal used in this necklace has been hand pinned into place using a large solid 18k gold decorative and granulated headpin (visible in the second picture) and small solid 22k gold granulated bail. The opal is capped with an 18k gold artisan made daisy spacer bead and is supplied with an 18" solid 18k gold bell diamond chain, weighing in at 2.90 grams. All sides of the opal are shown in the pictures.

Estimated total weight of gold used in this piece: 3.80 grams.

This Andamooka boulder opal pendant necklace is fully hallmarked by the London Assay Office to a purity of 18k gold and is stamped with Sugarpuss London's unique studio maker's mark, 'SL'.
