Small Wello Opal Nugget Necklace (18")

This Welo opal nugget necklace is a classic design handmade with a single, 1.5 carat, bright Ethiopian Welo opal hand pinned in sterling silver with Bali style spacer beads and presented on a hand forged sterling silver ring and 18" classic silver trace chain.

The opal in this piece has been hand cut and hand faceted into a freeform nugget shape (and, at the moment, at least, it is hard to find Ethiopian opals in a faceted cut). The opal displays bright precious colour, with predominantly greens and then reds and is free from any inclusions.
