This opal and sapphire necklace is a simple and timeless design. The piece is handmade from an 8mm, 3.35 carat, natural semi-black Australian opal from the Lightening Ridge opal fields. The opal has a nice flash of blue fire on one part of its body (as shown in the photo) and is hand pinned in sterling silver with Bali style spacers and a 0.3 carat natural Sri Lankan sapphire. The gems are presented on a decorative sterling silver leaf bail and 18" classic sterling silver trace chain.
