This pair of triple drop opal earrings is handmade from a total of 11.75 carats of rare Mintabie (or Mintubi) opal caught in sandstone (which is a type of very hard rock). The opals exhibit tremendous flashes of green and the two bottom gems also exhibit some reds and blues and a slight amber glow when the light passes through them.

The Mintabie opal mine is now thought to be near depleted - making these earrings very unique and worthy of any collector.

Opal sizes are as follows:

Top opal spheres- 6.02mm & 6.04mm

Middle opal spheres - 6.94m & 6.87mm

Bottom opal spheres- 7.9mm & 7.95mm

All gems have been hand wrapped in sterling silver and are presented on our hand forged sterling silver ear wires.
