This Andamooka matrix opal necklace features a stunning 18mm (34 carats) of natural opal caught within its original matrix. The cut of this Andamooka opal can be compared to the more familiar cut of a typical Australian boulder opal - which usually features a darker base stone with veins or flecks of colour running through it. We love this lighter version, however, especially with the lovely duck egg blue streaks of opal with sparkling green flashes in it - it's simply stunning (and a good hefty size at 18mm).
