Welo Opal, Apatite & Pearl Necklace (17")

This Ethiopian opal, apatite and pearl necklace is a one off design handmade from 32.65 carats of fine grade crystal opal from the Welo province in Ethiopia. The rondelles have a smooth cut with a clear jelly base and precious flashes of red, green, blue and yellow fire - the intensity of which changes depending on light source and background. The opal beads are accented with AAA grade, untreated, electric blue apatite and hand picked, 4.5mm, natural white freshwater pearls. The necklace is finished with sterling silver beads, bullion and a large, but lightweight, artisan made sterling silver hook clasp.

This opal necklace has been fully hallmarked by the London Assay Office and stamped with Sugarpuss London's unique studio maker's mark.
