It's been a strange and frustrating year. That one single fact is undeniable. Being trapped in one's own home can lead to major boredom. To remedy this, gems were bought and new jewellery constructed... A new challenge was also sought, however, and that came in the guise of sewing and, specifically, patchwork and quilting.
Sew Sugarpuss is starting, however, with, perhaps, the strongest one symbol of Covid: face masks. It started with a single principle: Covid is not going to stop us enjoying Christmas. So this year it might be out with the Christmas jumpers but in with the Christmas masks! We have gorgeous festive (but not 'in your face') face coverings available and can, in fact, make matching family masks if required. For every Christmas Covid mask sold we will also donate £2 directly to St Mungo's.
Fabric has become as much a passion as gemstones, in fact, so much so that we actually have a huge stash ready in store, including many designs by Tula PInk and Ruby Star Society. This means, if you want a mask made in any specific fabric, we should be able to help!
2021 will hopefully see an end to the UK's Covid madness once the new vaccines are rolled out. In terms of business, Sugarpuss London also hopes some of 2020's instability will vanish. We have lots of exciting things to come, so hope to go from strength to strength. Watch out, for instance, for gorgeous new patchwork baby quilts - all handmade in the UK with proper care and attention!
