18k Gold Black Opal & Battle Mountain Turquoise Necklace

This rare black opal and turquoise necklace is a one off design handmade from approximately 30 carats of rare, solid, Australian black Mintabie opal. The opal spheres are accented with tiny, high lustre, natural white freshwater pearls and interspersed with rare, natural (stabilised), Battle Mountain turquoise nuggets.

The opals used in this necklace can be considered rare and of heirloom quality, as the Mintabie mine is now rarely worked. These opals are from rough material that was mined over 15 years ago.

The necklace is finished with 18k gold beads and an 18k gold, brush finished, clasp, which is set with eight small white diamonds.

Turquoise nugget size varies from approx 6 x 9mm - 8 x13mm.
